About Me
I’m Anna, a jeweller based in Deemouth Artist Studios, Torry. I make silver and gold collections of jewellery inspired by architecture, film and nature, using a blend of traditional techniques and new technologies. I’m currently exploring enamel, specifically a technique called 'plique a jour'.
Most of my work is inspired by patterns or forms I see in architecture in my daily life, or in film. I want to make collections of jewellery that tell stories of the things I see on a daily basis, that others may not notice. I also take commissions and enjoy making something personal to the wearer. I'm currently experimenting with an enamel technique called 'plique a jour' which roughly translates to 'letting in daylight'. Transparent enamel is placed into gaps, giving a stained glass effect. I think its a nice secret for the wearer knowing that their pieces has beautiful hidden colours.
